transmission is terrible. like shifting through a gallon of molasses. next gen Lotus vehicles are suppose to have in house built six and eight cylinder engines.

A friend of mine has a Exiege S and it was actually 1 of 9 in white that were imported here... The car was super fun to drive and an amazing car to autocross. def had that go cart feel but if your going to daily drive the car its not the most comfy car nor is it easy to get in and out of... you literally sit on the floor.

For 25-40k its a damn good car with compromise.

Its not for some people lol too bad
Its sad that not a lot of people know about lotus. Exclusivity comes with the car i guess

Personally never drove nor sat in one but they don't look too comfortable. Really track focused cars.
Not really my style but it seems great for those who are really looking for a weekend car/track car for around 30-40k

I saw this car in DC one day. This man pulled up in a yellow one. After he parked I asked him about it, he said he hated it. He said it was too small, and it's so low to the ground he worries aout scratching it because he paid so much money for it.

Lotus is a very niche type brand. Basically no one is going to be cross shopping a BMW with a Lotus, you're looking at 2 almost completely different demographics. I love the Elise/Exige but they are extremely basic cars and you are definitely giving up a certain level of practicality by driving one, not everyone is willing to put up with that.

I wasn't really comparing it to anything, I'm just saying that its affordable.
Im set in getting a used one soon and I know what i'm getting into. I'm young, fairly short, and healthy. It shouldnt ride any worse than any slammed car we have nowadays.

good cars, but the engine and trans leave much to be desired for a car that offers zero practicality. i'd go Z4M or Cayman S instead.
