Best car for $1500 for brother

I'm trying to get my brother his first car and I want to drop about 1500 on it. I want something with a lot of space so he can drive his friends around and throw a guitar amp in the trunk and stuff. Also reliable. Im sure some hondas would be good but what years?

92to95 hatchback or 96to00

check craigslist,back page,or your local police auction.or you could try private sellers on autotrader cuz you wont find one from a dealer that cheap.and tell you brother not to drink and drive,you dont want him to end up a decal on someones car.
