June 12, 2011 @ 02:10:29
how is it trying to copy dodge? and thats quattro concept that pays homage to the 1984 Audi Sport Quattro; in case people dont know their shit and claim they do. just sayin

June 12, 2011 @ 12:55:07
what exactly were they trying to copy? the use of over sized wheels?
June 12, 2011 @ 13:22:03
OP has no knowledge of Audi
June 12, 2011 @ 14:12:59
Wow y'all really just when in on me haha but I figured everyone knew what it was. I think hb posted it on their main page. Anyways it does look similar to the whole charger/challenger body style and the taillight and spoiler as well. It's definitely not their usual style. And I'm no expert on Audi but I know ford/dodge been doin the retro thing waaaaay before Audi. Maybe their success inspired Audi to "pay homage" to the past. All I'm saying...it looks good to me though.smokeyface

Nothing new, everyone has been doing the similar roof line, if that's the style cue you're seeing that supposedly Audi copied.

.

June 12, 2011 @ 22:06:30
Audi is a huge frontrunner for design I think you got it backwards if anybody is copying it's American car companies Copying European design and technologies OP doesn't know shit

Ok, so your telling me that car looks like your standard audi they've been making recently. Besides the front you wouldn't guess its an audi. I think yall don't see many american cars where you live (CALI) cause from the angle in the first pic it screams Dodge. Frozzys right the roof line is used by everyone but the rest isnt traditionally Audi style. I know all companies copy each other but FORD/DODGE started that old school retro bulky muscle styling stuff years ago while audi was more smooth/sleek. Not saying I know alot about cars but this is obvious. What qualifies all y'all as car experts anyway huh? Bet most of you don't know anymore than me about car designsmokeyface

Yall retarded. Duu just sayin it resembles the challenger/charger, niqqas tryna go in on him and shit.
June 12, 2011 @ 23:16:50
i agree in the first pic it looks like a Dodge Caliper with charger lights
but when u look at the concept pics its clearly a homage to the old Audi

x2

all you AUDI cats that jumped down young mans throat on some heroic shit probably aint familiar with dodges more or less an Audi worth a damn....

quite the resemblance if you ask me homie.
June 13, 2011 @ 04:31:09
you realize audi was the first to have the full on blacked out grill front fascia right?
June 13, 2011 @ 05:12:11
I see maybe a slight resembalance at best, just seems like dude is making a big deal out of the Quattro concept using a different design language than the current Audi lineup.
June 13, 2011 @ 05:36:16
If anything the Audi looks like the 2012 scion tc. But that's really only because of the rear pillar curve.

Nobody is denying that, this is all about similarities... nothing else..

Interesting, and the situation gets deeper haha. I didn't even think of this. Thanks to those for backing me up. I knew I was on to something. Clearly car companies copy off each other.

I wouldn't neccesarily say its copied or infringed... the aspects of the front fascia, grille, low aggressive stance etc etc. is all these guys staying competitive with economy and technology.

That's why I fuck with Porsche's, the 911 will always be a unique one.

its kind of like when a music producer flips a sample, they put their own spin on it

I can see a little resemblence, but Audi doesn't need to copy dodge, their styling has always been on a different level than dodge. And a lot of concept cars look similar to that style.
June 20, 2011 @ 05:25:58
haha audi's been having a huge grill. its the other way around if anything.. plus its a fucking concept..|0

qft. It's been Audi's signature characteristic for many models... before the new Challenger.

June 20, 2011 @ 21:43:15
juki fails yet again. the concept pays an homage to the quattro coupe which put audi on the map, period. if audi tried copying dodge, all of their cars would be bloated shadows of their former selves with shitty interiors, poor build quality, and outdated drivetrains

and anyone can play the "design cue" game guys
