I'l probably have 10k by the end of summer, looking to buy my first car. Looking for something newer than 2000, and 40k miles. not a hatchback guy. i'm looking for an import.

06-08 civic si sedan is always an option, but they are so average.
a GLI was an option, but im not sure is i want a german car
a prelude was an option, but since they were discontinued in 01 its hard to find one with good mileage.
an RSX -s is kind of an option, but my brother has one and i dont want to hop on that too.

any recommendations? still in high school if that makes a difference.

acura tsx with a 6 speed manual. it's reasonably quick, but not fast enough where you'll do something stupid. also practical and looks pretty damn good, especially with a few modifications

Not sure you want a german car? WTF ♥♥♥♥♥?

GLI, 20AE GTI are good choices for VW
e46 is very nice in that budget too.

Well, I drive an 00 Prelude. I really enjoy it. I super doubt you are going to find one with such few miles on it, but depending on where you live, there could be quite a few clean ones for sale. If you are in socal, shoot me a PM and I can help you source a really nice one.

If your budget is 10k a wrx is a good option. Sti's are nice if you got the money, but with a wrx and a couple more grand for a turboback exhaust and tune. You'll be more than happy with your car. Sti has all the little goodies, but you can make a wrx just as fast for only a couple of g's as long as your not trying to track it and need the brembo's, and stronger transmission.
