Which are the best and i dont wanna waste to much

Can police confiscate them from me?

I know in most states they are legal.
can police detect them if i have one.

Do they really work???? and they work for what again??

You gotta check with your state/city to see if there legal in your area. Cops cannot detect weather or not you have one. As far as best with radar detectors you really get what you pay for. I had a escort passport 8500 x50 it was an awesome investment. Didn't save me from many traffic tickets because I'm a fairly careful driver but saved me from numerous other illegal activities while driving. Valentine 1 is also a great radar detector but the arrows aren't that useful once you get used to using a radar detector and understand how they work. Many detectors are really sensitive to EMI and become a really pain in the ass once they start alerting false laser readings but most of the time can be fixed by replacing spark plugs and wires.

first off, u spelled radar wrong. ha. well most radar detectors are sensitive. theyll beep to everything. its not worth it. just drive slow. youll live longer.

That is for instant on radar, I've never seen a cop in IL with an instant radar based system. Why do people post when they really have no fucking clue what they are talking about.

Yeah they have detectors that can detect yours but if its not illeagle its no problem. just get one that reads lasers too I suggest a pasport they are the shit

Valentine 1 or the new passport with GPS. Get a good one otherwise it is a waste of money. I've had V1 for 6 or so years and I love it
