It's about the pride and passion of building a car, not about the cost. Cost is just an obstacle. Real car enthusiasts appreciate the build.

easy. 8v is reliable and bulletproof. It saves gas.
16v is a bit stonger and performance worthy over the 8v.

8v is slow but on low end power, its kinda torquey.

I wish the Volkswagen Scirocco came to the U.S. They assume that the Scirocco would interfere with the VW GTI sales, which it probably would. I currently own an 08 VW GTI MK5 and man I would trade it in for the Scirocco any day. I think they should stop the production on the GTI and start shipping those babies over here. Those car make a lot of power compared to the GTI and best of all its turbo'd too, so that means its has potential to make more power. &) It's very futuristic looking too.

Still don't like it. They should of did 2 piece front windows and vents for the rear 3 quarters.
I like it more then the older new beetle but still not as nice as the old old ones

solid car, i had the gti but i've driven the rabbit, has a surprising amount of power and steering feels great.

see if you can get your hands on the new golf though, looks much better inside and out
