Ok so i know nothing about integras, what is the best motor you can swap into it for the price? b18c? im getting a 94 for free, so im wondering if there is anything else i should know. inb4k20

Except you could get that with a B18. Why bother with the added weight/work?

Since you seem against a K (it's expensive anyways) LSvtec turbo build. Or drop in what the Honda kids used to love before the K, Bseries frank.

you can get the H in there for half the price of a b18, and about the extra work??? so many people have done honda swaps that the brackets for everything are pretty much readily available.

For the price?

I rather keep the LS motor, mate it with a B16 tranny and slowly build a VTEC head for it down the road. LS/VTEC is always fun if done right.

LS/VTEC is possibly the best B Series because it has endless possibilities depending on your plans for it. It's fully customizable and if it built right can last a long time and put down alot of power... If you had the money though K24/K20A Head is the best thing out as far as K series are concerned. And there is also the J series as well but that can get pricey...

IMO, J series are so useless in any of the 94-00 Integra/88-00 Civics lol. All that torque and weight up front in such a light chassis...ughh. Unless you like spinning through all your gears or something.

lsvtec is the way to go, cheapest and easiest to build. If your lookin for an easy swap, b20vtec is nice for some torque and you dont gotta mess around with building an engine like the lsvtec

Don't listen to these nigs just get a GSR,slap a b16 head on it with some new valves springs,and use a b16 transmission with a LS or GSR 5th gear to bring those highway cruising rpms down. and a lsd if you can afford it. /thread

since you already have an LS block just slap a b16 or gsr head on it if youre not trying to spend a lot of cash. from my experience lsvtec is a pretty reliable setup. i beat the shit outta mine for like a year and a half before i swapped it out. bone stock ls block, b16 head, chipped p28 with no rev limiter so it seen 9k+ quite a few times, no problems. sold it to my cousin, he had it for like 6 months before blowing it up, he was spraying on it though. like modern said i'd swap out the tranny for a b16, depending if you do a lot of city driving i wouldnt worry about swapping out the 5th gear, if you do a lot of highway it would be smart tho. i had a b16 tranny and cruising on the highway at about 65 you're damn near in vtec.

B16 heads flow more than B18 heads do, in case you were wondering why people were suggesting that. Honestly though, just sign up for a canadian civic/integra site. More info on there than here, plus people will be selling shit.
