Acura Legends...

Good cars or not?

Dude on craigslist is selling a clean one for $3900. I emailed the dude for the VIN so my dad can run a Carfax on it.

IMO, they're decent. Reliability is decent, of course it comes down to how you take care of it. But I wouldn't be surprised if something goes.

I'll try and get more details from the dude and post 'em up here. I'm pretty desperate for a whip right now lol.

it comes down to how well its been taken care of. my uncle bought a 2nd gen brand new, prolly like a 94 model, not sure though, but it runs great until this day.

Becareful when getting the Legends...they can add up when it comes to maintenance mainly because it is a pain in the ass to work on just like the Vigor. They are nice early model luxury cars though just becareful your not picking up someone else's headaches...

it looks well kept but you never know until you check it out in person

Looks can be very decieving take it to a shop you trust or one that specializes in Hondas/Acuras and have them inspect it. Just because you can't see it from the outside doesn't mean it doesn't exsist...

If its well kept, the legend will run like a champ. My first car was a 89 legend. Original EVERYTHING, only thing that didnt work was the 21 year old stock bose radio. Its at 450k miles now, still running.

Had to re-up the thread. I'm pretty sold on this car looks wise, I really want my pops to run the car fax, but he keeps giving me shit about cars they don't make anymore. In a sense I know he's right, but I'm sure parts for this car can't be that hard to come by.

Anyway here's the updated ad, shit looks so clean: http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/ctd/1910582473.html

there great cars, but for that much money, I think you might be able to find something better. imo
August 27, 2010 @ 23:09:49
wouldn't you be able to buy it cheaper from a private seller? I'm always really suspicious about buying cars from dealerships unless they're new/ specialist cars...
August 28, 2010 @ 00:40:47
its just dealerships give buyers more protection in terms of certification and service.

I look how you wanna look, I fuck like you wanna fuck, I am smart, capable and most importantly, I am free in all the ways you are not.
