so my mom is selling my car and she offered to share her car with me. she only uses her car for work and she does not mind if i drop her off and pick her up. if i share with her the advantage is that i can be driving either a new 5 series, 3 series, or a range rover which ever one she likes best. if i don't then i have to wait until to the summer to buy my high mileage e36, but i can put whtever mods on it. any suggestions?

I'd say 5 series. Don't get the Range Rover. Those things are shit for reliability and gas mileage.

If you've got the pockets for whatever happens, go for either. I'd take the 5 series though, RR is just shit overall.

Went to the dealer and looked at the new 5 series the other day. I really dont like it, the front end is way to flat/straight. razz i'd say get your own car. i'm sure your mom will still let you take whichever car she gets out sometimes.

EDIT: Test drove it last weekend the new 535i is actually a really good car.

the new 5 series is boring. if she's going to get a 335, go for that. e36 with high mileage is gonna be hard as hell to maintain.

You guys are idiots. You want your own car. Your mom is gonna say she don't mind sharing the car with you, but sooner (rather than later) there's gonna be a conflict on who needs the car, and trust me, shes gonna take it.

Just get an e36, better to have your own car all the time, rather than split a nicer car with someone
