Are jettas always fucking up? my friend keeps saying his jetta keeps giving issues.

i think its stupid to lump an entire brand in to problems, unless its a ford explorer. there was a 2003 vw jetta here that was i think 6400 with only 73000 miles like 3 weeks ago when i went to the giant used car tent sale.

Take care of the car, and it'll take care of you. Same goes for any car. Though some ARE more prone to electrical problems. I'd stay away from most of the newer VW's and Nissans. They were Mexican manufactured.

he's got a lemon, those cars rarely have issues

OP if you want a car to have fun in get a 1987-1991 bmw series, 325is/318is in a 5spd would be ideal.

my mom bought her 06 jetta new and it has just about 80,000 miles on it. only problem with it is the headliner is peeling around the domelight but i think thats cause we stuffed too much stuff in the back and drive with the windows down all the time.

BMWs are some of my favorites but the potential for high maintenance cost/sourcing parts may be a hassle. That depends on whether or not you are into DIY, and modding and etc.

Ill tell you this now. Dont get into modding thing it is rewarding and what not but at the end of the day its just a car that you can crash/stolen and have all your $ go down the drain. I would much rather have $ in the bank driving a Toyota Camry than have my Integra that I have now with the shitload of parts that i have acquired.
