it came with my car installed so the previous owner may have messed up. but they are known to kill batteries. they acknowledge it on their website. but it might not even be bad wiring because what the fancy remotes do is force the system in the car to constantly send out a signal. so im not sure because something as simple as a dome light left on for too long drains batteries.
