so, i wanna get a new car in about a year and i'm trying to decide what..
at the moment i have a 2008 Honda CRV. love it, its AWD and can haul enough shit that i don't need a truck which i am grateful for, if i ever have to drive another ford ranger i will shoot a child.

I miss my highschool days and fuckin around with all my 240's and AE86's.
I want a new sports car.

I have been looking into the Lotus Exiges. however they are pretty up their in price and the insurance on one of those in southern california for a guy in his 20's... well is honestly rape.

any other ideas? i don't want to spend any more than i would on an Exige.. which i think is the best bang for its buck and will be hard to beat.

I'm gonna beat all the lil ricers on here and say get a:

Subaru STI
S2000
Lambo
240SX
Skyline
IS250/350
G35
Etc...etc...

In all honesty there's nothing wrong with rangers. I loved mine when I had it. If anything the newer ones with 4.0's are pretty bullet proof....but there's one thing you need to consider....you can't have a sports car and cargo space.....its either or.

i dont really care about cargo space since i will be keeping my CRV. this is purely for fun.

i think a lambo might be a little out of my price range lol.

im thinkin 45k to 50k max.

Try test driving the car first and see what you want. Don't be blind by bias opinion against FWD or rotary crap but do do research about it.

For $50k or so I'd definitely consider a base model Corvette. You've been really vague though with your demands. Do you want new or used? Mid engined or front? Drivetrain? Performance benchmarks? What aspects of the car would you value most?

it really depends want you're looking for. i think a lotus would be sweet, but a cpo'd z4m or cayman s would be fun both on and off the track. an 06 m3 with the zcp package would be cool too, and i think you can find some 05 carrera s's at that price
