For a DD, I'd say ap2, the wheels/taillights upgrade look nicer, and more modern. The main reason people go for the ap1 is cuz its a lil more "raw" which is ideal for the track.

Why are you caught up in RPM? Do you even know the differences in the ap1 over the ap2? Other than RPM.......? FAIL

decision?
Im thinking of getting an ap2 around march.
But from many owner's ive talked to both 1 & 2 owner's, prefer the ap1 for an all out s2000.
Comment's by them were that the ap1:
handles better
more power
higher rpm
even more compression
also an all out better performance sport's car.
But for over 20 g's i'd go with an ap2 because it's much newer and give and take some improvement's.

dont let some faggots on the internet tell you wat to do. look at the facts and go from there. also ap1 has less power and torque then ap2s. ap1s are more raw

AP2, just 'cause they worked out the kinks you'd have with an AP1.

And you won't really notice that night and day difference between the power anyways.

I think if torque matters that much to someone the difference between an Ap1 VS Ap2 would be the least of your worries, I'd just forget about getting a Honda all together haha.

Seriously lol.

It's not like Honda produced gobs of torque difference for them anyways.

Having driven both and owned an AP2, there are enough differences that if you can afford the ap2 get it. The torque is noticeably more with the 2.2 liter.

what kinks? by 2003, the ap1 was perfected. not honda's fault people can't drive.

How was it perfected? Documentation or you're full of it! You just had someone who vouched driven both and owning an ap2.

i drove both as well, though i haven't owned one. the 2003 had the rear glass window and all of the amenities of the 2004-2005 ap2, handled better, and is more fun to drive imo.

i say if you're getting a DD and drive in traffic, fine go AP2. otherwise, the ap1 is the way to go.

In the time you drove both, you got to push them hard enough where the difference in handling was that noticeable? :?

the ap2 understeers significantly more than the ap1. the ap1 was the most neutral car i've ever driven.

The one I got financed for was the '07 silverstone with black interior.
I want the leguna blue pearl but the dealers near me don't have one.
