My opinion: best bang for your buck
pros- good looks (not the 2000s hatchbacks though), gas mileage
cons- wish they were faster, people rice them out

Damn those look sexy.

Civic SI can look pretty sick even though they are civics lol. And you're right about too many people ricing them out. And too many people driving Civics in general.

I thought about getting the newest Civic SI coupes, they look so sick in electric blue with the hid fogs and slammed.

I agree on the mazda but no fucking way with the cobalt. The cobalt is just a rehash of the SRT 4 only under the chevy name. A K Series motor with the same modifications the cobalt comes with would smoke the cobalt. Si's do have their limits and for the first time look good as a Sedan. I guess its all about brand loyalty though especially with the Mugen Si which is a fucking joke...

since the chevy has a 2.0l ecotec engine and the srt4 is a 2.4l engine, how exactly is it a rehash? dodge and are gm different companies, they dont share parts. one could say the cobalt ss is a rehash of the gto's bland styling but thats about it.


A K Series motor with the same modifications the cobalt comes with would smoke the cobalt.


and a modified smart fortwo can smoke a ferrari. but we arent talking modified that would defeat the "for the money" notion. to make the money even, you can take the roughly $1200 savings of the civic si for modifications and the si would still barely keep up with the cobalt ss. the civic si does have a much nicer interior though.

^^^I was talking in terms of design and direction of consumers when i was referring to the rehash idea. And for your second arguement i was solely speaking on the motor haha. Now if we are talking stock for stock than yes your point is valid but i was saying with the upgrades that these cars come off the lot with applied to a K-Series motor. Again though i think its just about preferrance. I don't think american cars do that great in sports compacts but that's just my opinion...

how you gonna bring opinion to a fact fight? shit makes no sense. but if you want my opinion, i would take the civic si over the cobalt ss every chance i get. american cars just dont have the longevity the japanese cars have. which is very important to me, otherwise id just buy a camaro ss or mustang gt every 2 years. lol
