Yeah just do the modified airbox my du...that will hold you off nicely until you decide to upgrade. If you do decide to stay SRI i would recommend the ARC its such as sound and intake. Its better than the Mugen imo... After seeing the show off threads it motivated me to get into fixing my car up and changing stuff around. I appreciate the props though any feedback is good to me even though i don't have any pics up of it now LMAO Type Spaz and Mytypes06 are the two people with SSM that motivated me the most on CRSX...

for real? ARC better than the mugen one? so many people on CRSX say the opposite thing. i was trying to get a lightly used mugen airbox.

Well it depends on a few things. If your running the Mugen front bumper than yes the Mugen is better. However the ARC with the heat shield is a better match for the stock bumper and set up. I guess its all about preference though...they both sound nice, but almost everyone i spoke to that traded/sold their ARC regrets it...

Yeah i'll definitely post a link when i start my build/showoff thread... And while your at it save up for K-Pro as well. I typically most people do exhaust and RH and shit like that but K-Pro before anything else and you will be so glad you did...

soo, took my integra to get smoged and it failed, fuckin cali smog laws fml. all i have modified are greddy headers&exhaust and intake all carb legal and vtec controller. any ideas?
it failed HC and NO
November 09, 2010 @ 22:34:53
Sounds like your cat is on its way out... Do you know if your running a chipped ECU??? You could be running on a tune aswell. You could try trading stock exhaust manifold and exhaust with someone for the day and get it smogged. You might want to make sure those carb stickers actually belong to those parts by looking them up online aswell...

-THiZZ
November 09, 2010 @ 22:46:35
Yea, usually just the CAT. Like Thizz said, just find someone to swap it with.
November 09, 2010 @ 22:47:33
there in a rattle in my pipe when i let off the gas when im driving, anyone know what this could be? is that a problem with the cat?
November 10, 2010 @ 01:15:03
It could be a loose bolt on your exhaust...if not look for a hole in your exhaust...
November 11, 2010 @ 09:44:20
Gold, just a little more info about the ARC. The inside of the ARC intake has a velocity stack. Neither Mugen or Comptech has that design. So if anything, ARC "sucks" better. If you have a well vented hood and possibly and a better flowing bumper you will see a change. Granted you won't see gains like a CAI but the sounds and plus not hydrolocking your motor is a win/win in your seattle weather...

probably gonna keep the stock bumper + hood. Maybe i should just get an injen CAI with a hydrosheild, its so much cheaper.

clean ass s2k.

November 11, 2010 @ 20:28:42
so swap cat's with someone?
November 11, 2010 @ 23:02:22
You would need a complete stock exhaust set up...this means the exhaust manifold/header, Cat, and exhaust. you could try swapping a cat with someone to pass but i would just do the whole setup all together just to save yourself the hassle...

And gold, yeah its definitely the better choice. Its cheaper and you'll see gains. Im port and polishing my RBC can't wait to see the numbers my car puts down on the dyno...

November 11, 2010 @ 23:18:23
yeah i hope i dont hydrolock tho, whataer. How do you like tein flexes?

Easy mang...

November 11, 2010 @ 23:43:03
They are really good... If i had to do it all over again though i would go Buddyclub RSD's. The Flex's provide a good ride and adjusting the stiffness is very responsive and the ride isn't to much harder. They don't go too low but im not into the slammed look anyways. Overall im definitely impressed with the suspension...

-THiZZ
November 11, 2010 @ 23:50:32
havent really herd much about them. only about the SS. yeah if i didnt live in seattle i would have RSD's.

Easy mang...

November 12, 2010 @ 00:02:56
RSD's are probably the best you can get budget wise... I mean there is Progress too but you can adjust the stiffness on them. From what i heard the ride is good though. SS are the popular choice because people go directly for those when really if you look at Teins website its not too different from the flex really but ehh whatever. There is a few really good suspenions out there though just they go for about 2500 starting... and then you have to tell them what you plan on doing with the car and they custom make them to your specs and whatnot. From what i heard though its worth every dollar. Im not that serious about my DC5 though so i'm happy with what i have. If i blow my Teins or find a good deal im definitely picking up RSD's i rode in a friends car and it feels like your car's on rails such an amazing ride. My build is my concern right now though already invested like 4.5K into it... i didn't want to do the K24 route like everyone else decided to keep the a2 block and improve it...

getting rid of AC and PS seems ridiculous to me just for a nice engine bay but if its just a show car guess it's not that big of a deal
