Werd, u can always run smaller too, i had a cousin that ran a 10" JL sub and it bumped hard, just depends on ur amp, with that much power you wont need much. After all that its all about tuning hte sub right so it performs at its best. You can make a single 10 crack windshields. Real talk, i saw it happen in an eg lol.
