Contemplating my next car - 2010 MazdaSpeed3 vs Impreza WRX

im going to be buying myself a new car by the end of the year. I just bought a 2010 subaru forester limited last week for my fiance. we love the way it. i took her old car which is a 2004 mazda 3 s. ive been driving it for a while and can say i wouldnt mind owning another mazda.

so now i want a new car and have come down to these. the 2010 mazda speed 3 and the 2010 impreza wrx premium 5 door.

let me know what your opinion is on which direction i should take.

if i could find one with low miles that i trusted wasnt driven too hard, then yes i would definitely be happier with the 04. if one does come up i would definitely jump on that.

New WRX,but u can save yourself some money and get an 09 wrx since there is no real big change between the two.
Or maybe an 09 WRX STi since the 2010s are coming out you'll get a really good deal.cool
last year Subaru was offering $6000 off and 0%/low apr for like 60 months

Why not get a 08 or 09 sti? I suggest dont get a 10 wrx when you can get a 09 wrx cheaper or wait for the 2011 wrx.

my budget is not a factor. i have nearly $200,000.00 in savings, my fiancee and i together make over $120,000 a year, and i own 2 houses.


anyway, everything i have been reading points in the direction of the wrx. even the mazdaspeed3 owners i have talked to wish they would have got a wrx.

I think he meant get an 08/09 cause they're cheaper than a 2010.Or if you can wait a whole year get the 2011.u should join iwsti.com if you are seriously considering an wrx/STi.There's a lot of useful info on there.

one house was my first house, its a double. while living in one side of the house, i rented the other side. the rent i collected paid 80% my mortgage. we bought a larger, much nicer house a few months ago. after moving out of my first house i put my side up for rent. the rent i collect from both sides now pays the mortgage and puts money in the bank. no need for me to sell the first house, so now we own two.

taking that logic into account, i should wait for the 2011 to come out and get the 2010 because its cheaper.

thanks for the link, i signed up and found some very useful info.

one thing i find funny though, mazdaspeed3 owners envy the wrx/sti and wrx/sti owners envy the 350/370 z.

at this rate im probably gonna end up with a used g37. lol

which is exactly why you do not have it. work now, play later. im setting myself up to be very playful when im older. my retirement gift to myself, hopefully when im 55 at the latest, will be a ferarri.
