Milk I know it's not a super fast (at all, lol) bike but it's more my lifestyle than a crotch rocket that goes 200mph
(I have my eyes set on a Yamaha 550 XJ5 for a good price right now)

This thing is so dope. Standard bikes are my second favorite class of bikes for sure.

wouldn't it be better for someone to drop a $1500 250 then a $4000 600cc?

plus i've seen people who start off on 600s and can never go to the twisties because they never learned basic shit on a smaller bike

people like that become statistics for motorcycle crashes. if you havent ridden before why would you be buying a road bike

For all of you gentleman that ride motorcyles:

Do you often have problems with using your phone or receiving calls/messages while riding?

Do you have trouble using a gps?

Have you ever gone somewhere to meet a friend only to find out that they went elsewhere instead but you couldn't get the text because you where riding?

Let me know folks, I may have a solution.

Quick question for some of you guys on insurance, I know it varies from person/company but how much would I roughly be looking at to insure a bike like a Honda Rebel as a 19/20 year old male?

the basic maybe 150 or 200? i wouldn't get full coverage since the bike is so cheap you would be spending more on insurance then the whole bike.

make sure you take a MSF class, I get like 5 or 10 percent off

Shit, I can afford that. I may start looking at some bikes.

My only real issue is living in the city and not having a garage to keep it in over the winter.. Would it really be that awful to leave it outside as long as its covered?

Keep it covered well should suffice but there's endless amounts of info online about winter storage. My little dualsport keeps fucking with me. I'll probably fix it and get rid of it finally

I wouldn't leave it outside.  Motorcycle theft in metropolitan areas is so high its too risky.
