My friend just got an 09 M3 and that shit is a beautiful piece of machine. I could look at that car all day long. We went for a little drive and the performance on this car top notch. The V8 engine seriously sounds so sick. I would take this car over the GT-R any day. Although the GT-R would beat the M3, it's signifigantly more expensive (I'm not paying $80k+ for a Nissan), it's a horrible daily driver, and I personally think the GT-R is chunky and ugly. It's kinda cool when I first saw it but that's about it. My brother leased one and regrets it. Here's to hoping for an M3 one day!

Although it's not the best sounding V8, I'd also take it over the GT-R as well.

My dream is to own a m3 one day although that new audi s4 v8 is on its heels. Ill take any M3 but this years is the best design ive seen in a while. 90's was the best. M5 is also crazy, I drove one not too long ago and it was like a rocket.

I'm far from rich but my dad has a 99 M3 in white, it's stick I'm not sure whether it's 5 speed or 6 speed but he keeps that car pristine. And as soon as I learn how to drive stick it's mine, I'll take some pictures and post them when I have the time.

4 door would be my choice for the new body!

E46 = played out, atleast in my area
E36 = timeless...2dr, 4dr...dont matter!
Pre-E36 = good luck finding em!

must be nice having rich parents
you dont have to be rich, or even near rich to own a M3. however, you do need to be willing to pay a signifigant amount more monthly. thats really all it comes down to. of course paying a couple to few hundred dollars more a month through the years adds up to a good lump of change but i personally know someone and another someone not too far away from working full time with minimum wage pay who drive the new M3. in the long run, its worth it. since resell value whenever you dont want the car is higher (obviously) or you can just go ahead and keep it until your hair turns grey. cars like the M3 are timeless vehicles so it doesnt matter. i see old wealthy white folks still driving in their E46's and they still look nice/baller.

of course if you dont work full time and you got bills up the ass to pay for every month its a different story.

I know a dude who paid 14k for a smacked 2004 m3 convertible, dropped just under 10k to fix it. So we'll just say 25k for a baller M3. He can write it off right now and get over 40k from insurance.

Now thats gangsta

You and your friend are both fucking idiots; your friend for spending 25k on a salvage when he could buy a clean one for the same price, and you for thinking he could get $40k from his insurance company.
