its prolly on the rise but I doubt it'll ever get as hot as the H scene is with theft. think about the hottest car nissan has is the skyline and the US got the ugliest version... and whose gonna steal the R35 here? might as well steal higher end cars if u think ur gonna get into an R35 easily... the hottest car released here in the states for honda was the type R and thats y shit is so hot on the black market, and i'm sure its easier to get into the R than the R35.

Lol, R35's and theft is on a way different level. That's like talking about theft and NSX's. And IMO, hottest car released here for Honda was the NSX lol.

But no, 240s get stolen often. Ever seen how far back a 91' 240SX's window can peel back? Jeezus, it goes further than a Civic/Integra. On the 240 forums, there's theft topics everywhere lol. But true, it'll never be as high as Hondas though, but they're still a high tally.

it is pretty much the same shit, same chassis, k20 and k24 is not like a day and night difference in power as opposed to something like the base and the type s.

the k20a2 and the k20a is not pretty much the same shit. the k20a uses different internals in the motor build.

Dont dare man....I SAC town has some of the best car jackers on that side of CALI there is always a way to get around a good security system.

The only best thing to have is laser cut keys, or key fob starters.....etc

Been jacked before. Alarm didn't stop em. And I know many people that have been jacked. Cars being towed away. Like I said if they want it they'll get it.

Lol, if an alarm is all you have, of course you'll be open for the taking. Heck, even with mods such as fuel-cut offs, back-up horns, back-up batteries, etc. they can be disabled. But it usually comes down to how an alarm is installed, and the precautions you've taken to prevent your car from being stolen. I hear those words all the time, "If they want it, they'll get it", with the right amount stuff, they won't get it.

What is the right amount of stuff? You don't know how many people I know that have gone through drastic measures only to be gotten. What precautions? Not driving the car period? Your whip is at risk 24/7. No matter how baller your security system is. If they don't get it the 1st time they'll be back at a later date.

And again, an alarm is as good as the install. An expensive alarm won't do squat if it's a basic install. Take time and do a full stealth install, make every wiring component look OEM. Install the units through the dome light, or take it to the firewall. 2-Way Alarms that are really effective, mated in with GPS units that give you a heads up a few seconds after your car has been tampered with. It may be time consuming, but those things work. I've owned a Honda for years now lol, parked outside in an apartment, and not in the best area. What is a tow truck going to do when they can't disable my alarm? Nothing.

Well I can only speak for the city that I live and the people I know with custom installs that have been jacked and others I know with custom installs that are afraid to leave their cars parked anywhere. That's not being cautious that's being afraid. But like I said I can only speak on how it goes down in my city.

Understandable.

My favorite are the sensors, those start ringing when anything on your car is popped open. Good stuff.

jdm is when a car is made to represent the way it comes in japan. its like buying japanese streetwear for your car. most of the parts are really rare and hard to find. a lot of companies make knock off parts so having the real thing commands more respect and is more jdm. in japan some people go usdm and convert to the american style.

type r is different in many ways from americas type s and civic si. first of all the transmitions are differently geared and some of the american verisons do not have a built in lsd.

motor wise:
02-05 civic type r = 225hp
02-05 civic si = 160hp

02-06 integra type r = 225hp
02-06 rsx type s = 200hp(210hp in 06 becuase of a motor change to the k20z1)

07-09 civic type r sedan = 225hp
07-09 civic si sedan = 193hp
06-09 civic type r hatch = 193hp

the suspensions are different and so in the engine tune. the brakes are larger on the type r and the type r comes with no sunroof and sometimes no radio.

jdm gets stolen all the time. my most recent mod was a spoon sports stearing wheel and quick release. little theft deterent and very jdm. cool
