Im going to attempt to make this as simple as possible so bare with me...

Now above i have provided a map for you. To the left is Harajuku train station. Now if you walk out of south exit of harajuku station you should end up in front of a disney type store. Walk across the street make a right until the side walk starts to curve to the left. Follow that and walk downhill until you get to the big intersection. Cross the street and then make a right to cross the street again. By this time you should be heading south on meiji dori street. Follow that downhill until you pass a Audi dealership and keep going. You then should see a street that has a large opening to the left of you after you pass a few posh stores. Turn left onto that street and go straight and FTC will be on your left. You should be able to see the gold letter's but if not keep going until you do. And you should see the small store in no time... If your looking at the map its near FBI Cafe but your going to want to pass FBI cafe heading east...

Are there any must-sees in Tokyo shopping-wise?

I'm only going to be there for two full days.

Also, what is the OriginalFake store like on stock when there haven't been any very recent releases?

quick easy question...

do most of the stores/restaurants in tokyo take amex/visa? just trying to consider how much cash i'll bring versus card...

stores as in CDG, beams, etc + resellers?
August 05, 2010 @ 16:59:08
Japan is a cash society, I took all my money in cash and had a card with me just in case I ran out of funds.

Some stores do take card but a lot of the time it wouldn't work for me, might have just been my card.

Ya everywhere 'accepts' visa but a lot of places are finicky when it comes to foreign cards for some reason.

I had no probs with paying by card (mastercard)... But getting cash from ATMs was another story!!

the only confusion that i can see arrising with people using credit cards here in Japan is that when u make a purchase the sales clerk will ask if u want it to be one payment or pay over several payments.

not sure about USA but in the UK this is something that is arranged with your card and not at the point of purchase.

so that might be where some ppl are getting confused when trying to buy stuff with a credit card, especially if u dont speak Japanese

I was asked if I wanted to pay with Yen or AUD when using my CC.

It really didnt make any difference...
