not been on here for like forever but back in taiwan at the min so thought i'd see whats happening - nothing by the look of it, ha ha.
Noticed there is a new chain of 'street' stores here called 'million boys club' which made me chuckle, probably doesn't sound so gay in Chinese.
CLS has improved no end since i left taiwan. Lot of nice stuff today. Added soph, nbhd, wtaps, nexusVii to its already pretty impressive list of brands. Although didn't see any vizvim? They still carry it?

@skyrocket:
i went from bape/cls to phantaci today and it took me 10-20 minutes or so - i was a bit early and most of the stores i wanted weren't open so i didn't really stop. If you were wandering looking in shops etc i would say 1/2 a day is easily enough. Don't go to Da-an too early most shops don't pen before 2 and on weekdays it seems they randomly don't open at all.
If you come out of phantaci turn right and immediately right again -so coming down the hill- you are basically heading into the Da-an district (the area brizzle refers to as zhongxiao district - JX runs the length of taipei, its not a district! [/rant]). So leftfoot/faith/undercover/hotdog/nikeid/etc/etc/etc are in and around the cluster of small streets.
If you keep walking straight down the hill the first major intersection you come to is dun hua nan lu. Its probably 5 or 6 small blocks down.
When you hit dun hua just turn left and go straight for about 3-4 blocks and you'll hit the ren ai lu intersection (can't miss it, the only roundabout in taipei and its got grass n trees growing in the middle). CLS is on your left (next to swansens) and BWS is on the right over the road.
@whoever asked where to eat in zhong xiao: there are like a million places you can get anything you want but if you want to try something taiwanese go for Soup dumpling ('Xiao Long Bao'). The most famous place is 'Din Tai Fung' There is one on Jhong Ziao and one in Xinyi www.dintaifung.com.tw/en/index.asp
on a Sunday morning its mega busy and quite a lot of Taiwan’s celebs eat there. Its still really cheap to eat there though. Food wise its definitely should be on the shortlist of Taiwanese food to try. Wash it down with a bubble tea afterwards ('zha zhi nei chi'), pretty famous local drink (looks a bit like frog spawn in iced tea but its really nice) you'll see the stalls everywhere, run by the girls not hot enough to sell beetle nut imao ;)
