I live in The Netherlands and I might go to HK next year...

I went to HK in 2006 summer without parents with 7 of my friends, and one of my friends had his own house there in sheung shui.

I usually stay with my aunt when I'm in HK, she lives one building where SARS started in kowloon

上水? Damn, right next to the Jockey Club. I miss HK! I'd kill for a proper 奶茶.

Well i can see why you would say its a bit of a culture shock since i have been to Canada before, but its all good, just be experimental with the foods you eat and you maybe pleasantly surprised... just rmb not to ask what type of meat it is...

Naked... Thanks for the advice holmes. I guess maybe I shoulda mentioned that I am Chinese. Therefore, I have had my fair share of mystery meats. Hahha.

Practicing your Chinese for when you next hit up HK???

Ahhh... well in that case, i'm sure you don't need any advice from us, but more like time to get used to the culture + exotic foods again...

the land of the constantly wet, cold miserable weather... although as Ivan said, at least they have the What the Dunk...
