Hey im looking to get a film camera. i currently have a Nikon D60 DSLR,but I want to work with film. Mainly because my professor is being a prick and not letting me use my DSLR so I want an entry level yet pretty decent film camera. Looking to spend about 500-600 on one. Not anything too expensive but something that'll make a pretty clear and crisp image. I was looking at Nikons FM10 cause it was really cheep, but I dont know. I want something better. Any advice. Oh and I want to make sure my Nikkor lenses work with it.

I rolled with an FM10 for years. Its real basic, but still capable of taking good pics. You might have to work a little harder though is all. I have a Canon ELAN 7, I cant imagine it being very expensive anymore (it was around 550 a few years back), but its a great cam too

I use a Nikon F100 for film but not much anymore since I got a digital. Regardless its an amazing camera It used to be pretty expensive like over 500 but you can get them used of Ebay for around 200-250. Then theres also the F5 which is even better an a little more expensive.

Well, what lenses do you have? I'd suggest getting an FM10 for a camera. It's a simple camera, and probably capable of doing everything you need. You could also look into an F2. Definitely a workhorse of a camera.

I would go with a canon A1 or F1 or F1N. Those are some pretty good cameras alot of them require some manual work. Perfect for ur photog class.
