^You know no one is using a T-S lens and is using this process to achieve the effect of a miniature right?

I remember when I first discovered that effect. I was researching everything I could. There is a gallery that pretty much got very popular and the tilt shift is what drew people to it. I forget who the photographer was, but he/she is pretty famous for this and people love the gallery.

How come when I looked at this picture I started hearing Eminem's "Like Toy Soldiers" play in my head?

Step by step
heart to heart
left, right, left
we all fall down
we're toy soldiers

(no disrespect to those men and women there of course. Go Navy!)

It was most likely vincent laforet.

another thing to take into consideration is the subject matter of tilt shift. you can't just tilt shift anything and hope it looks sweet. you need stuff that looks believable as a miniature, such as people or cars. and you almost always have to have a shot that's shot from far away.

You folks know that isn't the purpose of a T-S lens, right?

originally designed for architecture, but it can do this too. And it is a sweet effect. Stop hating.
