great shots everyone, nice to see more and more people contributing. smile

alex what is your setup and did you do any photoshop work on those shots?

Nikon D80+50mm f1.4, shooting RAW and processing with LightRoom2, i got no PS skills smile

Can anyone tell me whats a good starting camera to buy?, I want to get into photography as a hobby along with my graphic design type stuff, and looking at all these shots makes me want to get a cam and contribute, props to everyone.

you can start with an entry level DSLR or a good bridge, just make sure you can shoot in RAW format.

which one of my 4 panoramas do you guys think is the best and why??

#3 for me as well.

And Alex: Im a fan of your shots as usual. Is that your wife in the laptop shot? or does the wedding ring go on the other hand? lol

thanks a lot.
not my wife or girlfriend, just a friend. i'm never sure about where the wedding ring goes but she's single smile
i posted some part of my girlfriend in some previous post, will post some more ;)

Dang, how do you get this effect to be so clean? Do you use a tripod on manual with a slow shutter speed?

Chang, the second is HDR? I like it.
Eve, I like the first one but needs a little more depth to it, so he's not just photoshopped into the picture; show some shadow under him but not as much as the second or third.

Nah, it's digital. Just tried to make it look like film. I haven't used a darkroom since first semester senior year of high school (freshman in college now). I've seen supplies and whole kits being sold on Craigslist but I have no room in my house for it. Plus I wouldn't know how to set things up and all although I still remember what I have to do to develop the film.

Thanks for the love, guys.

Honestly, i think you try a different approach and not something so symmetrical.I think something more wavy and scattered looking would work better
