First attempt at a DIY beauty dish. Comments?
yeah i was reading into that too. I plan on keeping the lens for a long time if I really do pull the trigger on it. From the reviews they put up on fred miranda it really seems like if you have the extra money it is just that much better of a lens for the money. It also sounds like nikon has quality control issues with the 12-24 and it isn't that sharp in the corners. Alot of complaints about how its that expensive but doesn't deliver the quality anyone expects for the price. I'm a ultra wide junkie so IMO it makes sense for me to get the rolls royce of ultra wides.
If i wasn't going to get it, I think I'd get the tokina since its seems to have much more bang for your buck versus the nikon.
hey shoe, which fisheye do you have? and what body do you shoot with? i'm feeling your shots.
ps. 12-24mm is what i'm saving for also but since nikon is dropping the 50mm 1.4 af-s, i might hold off on the superwide for a nice quality prime.
