Just a word of advice, the 14-24mm is really stupid to get for DX format cameras. You're paying premium for full coverage on an FX sensor, not DX. Save your money and get the 12-24mm instead.
yeah i was reading into that too. I plan on keeping the lens for a long time if I really do pull the trigger on it. From the reviews they put up on fred miranda it really seems like if you have the extra money it is just that much better of a lens for the money. It also sounds like nikon has quality control issues with the 12-24 and it isn't that sharp in the corners. Alot of complaints about how its that expensive but doesn't deliver the quality anyone expects for the price. I'm a ultra wide junkie so IMO it makes sense for me to get the rolls royce of ultra wides.
If i wasn't going to get it, I think I'd get the tokina since its seems to have much more bang for your buck versus the nikon.
