Here's from one of my most recent trips. Took it to another limit this time, with larger lights, and fireworks. For those who have questions about the technique, I'll answer. I've been gettin some good reviews for these, so any comments are appreciated. Also, check out/add me on my postings.

probably. check your settings, and see if you're able to change shutter speed and aperture. if you can, all you need is a tripod and you're good to go.

The exposure on your camera should be set at somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds, but can be as long as you need to get the effect you want. Set the camera to iso100 and close the aperture as much as you can.

make sure you have it on a steady surface if you dont use a tripod.

There's some information here in the thread, but it wouldn't hurt to get the basics of shutter speed, exposure, aperture, depth of field, film speed and all the other basics.

Yea, you could call it light drawing or painting or light graffiti like the original poster said, but there is a link that someone posted above this post that has some info for you. Just read what is there and try to learn it, hopefully you will have some good release.
