You sure you didn't just over expose? It's quite usual to shoot at -1/3 exposure with the s95. I do this, and i've never been bothered with the whites...


I didnt like it, any advice for another camera?

Probably a 5D Mark II, but you could probably get that quality with a 7D/T2i, most people would make it 24fps

I currently have a Nikon D60 with twin kit lenses and the 35mm 1.8 lens as well. What do you guys recommend as my next lens? Preferably a zoom that is good for carrying around/travelling and stuff.

Well if you have the twins lens kit, and 35mm, why do you think you need a new lens?
I mean you have 18-200 covered, there's no need for a new lens, unless you want wide angle, which you dont.

The aperture is too small on both of the kit lenses. I was thinking of a getting a lens so that i wouldn't have to keep swapping between the two.

24-70 f/2.8 from Tamron or Sigma? I tried the Tamron version for a while. It was a sharp lens.

^ I don't think there's much difference in terms of quality,
the t3i has manual audio adjustment and the t2i doesn't
there's ways around this...

Magic Lantern sounds cool just not sure about downloading
something onto my camera

I'm planning on getting a T2i, T3i is a but too expensive

I heard the Sigma one was better. But i would honestly just get a Tamron or Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 and a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8. But that's alot of money.

I've always wanted digital and i'm about to buy my first DSLR, thinking of a t2i.. should i go ahead and get that as a first or should i try something cheaper? Like a XS Rebel? I was thinking might as well go big so i don't have to deal with the upgrading, etc. later.

If you don't want to worry on upgrading, i'd get a T2i or possibly 7D.

T2i is affordable for me.. 7D is wayy too much. Maybe when i get more serious or getting paid to take some pictures then will i get something like that. But i'm gonna be going for the T2i since it seems like it's the most bang for the buck.

Sigma 30mm 1.4 is great on the d90.


As for fish eye the nikon 10.5 is nice but expensive. The manual focus 3rd party fish eyes do the job though.

yeah its sharp, i used to have the 35mm nikon 1.8 and this lens is on a different level.
