since youre still learning id suggest you use pencil and establish your lines before you go over with pen/marker itll make it all cleanersmile youve improved somewhat though keep it up

Dont really do any of this of the sort and tried to give it a go for the first time...



The first one says Kevin (my name) and the second says Shank. I think the first came out pretty well since its much easier to "connect the words" as you see I did.

my usual tag i rarely do the emphasis marks around unless theirs a bunch of tags around it

ps. i feel like such a outcast lol one of only a few tags and i just used a thin sharpie as a example so you could imagine it with a thicker marker

ya your right definitly was a bit rushed ima try to go to one of my tags and take a picture of it i also think it looks sloppier since its a thin tip sharpie when the thickie busts out it looks a lot better. it says NTSay "nothing to say"

work on you letters first before doing the extra flares or what not.
like -kt said you cant even read it, i mean i can but just practice and practice.

catch spots, stop writing on buses or what not, dont just bomb on your blckbook or a paper, put your work out there.

Thank you for the constructive criticism there.I think the sharpies ruined the piece because it had very thin lines before but the sharpie made them fat.Are you saying I need to make my work more legible though?Because I thought the point of it was to make it almost unreadable.And I have actually gotten my work out there but not very much.I've also done a few colored pieces on a local legal wall but this is a blackbook thread so I'll leave it.And I've still got lots of room for improvement as I only started drawing pieces a year ago(at the age of 13)and I only started painting a couple of months ago.Thanks for the comments.

i was gonna ask i personally am no muralist or even a heavy painter too much work too much time not enough life in it i like tagging because of sheer volume its awesome and growing up in NYC theres alot of fuckign tagging and i love it so you not seeing a single good writer is quite fine with me its your opinion its art and art is subjective
