I think it would of looked much better had the cyan/lightblue be replaced with a darker shade of yellow. Still sick though.

?

What are some of the best streak free markers?

I use Prismacolors and they work pretty darn well.

newness

heres a few steps i took in making this piece..

should of taken some earlier shots but this is after i drew it with a pencil, outlined it with a pen, erased the pencil, started shading in some blue and yellow watercolor

shaded in some green watercolor

and then added the line work in the legs/body with a pen and shaded the body with graphite

this is the same creature as that one but this one i did on actual watercolor paper and cleaned it up a bit

my girlfriend hooked it up for my birthday yesterday. no more using the cheapest watercolors. these dr martins colors are so nice! ill have lots of new stuff to post up after this week.

did a few more today. good thinking on the aztec idea. gonna do like 12 of them on a big sheet of watercolor paper an try to make them more tribal/aztec looking. also want to leave their teeth and eyes white.

Yo that Pentel pen is fun to use, I'll post more of my artwork up soon as I watermark it.

Edit: Here's one I'm working on now, watercolor pencils on watercolor paper, I might end up redoing it because the body looks weird.
