www.hypebeast.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10266&highlight=product (for Kennmon's thread of the same name)

What can be used to create the clean white or black backgrounds? Preferably something I can do with stuff I already have or can pick up easily, I know there's products for it but bleh I wanted to see if there was a way to do it w/out them.

Thanks!

lightbox, you can create a really cheap one for like 10 bucks. easy to make too..search on google on how to make a light box. but then you need lighting, and couple flashes..

simplest and cheapest way to go is using white paper.

then its jus playing with your settings.

heres what i got.

I only used one lightsource, hence why the papers dont blend. but you get the idea...

Edit: oops, this is DUM, on my friend's computer.

For clothing, I wouldn't recommend a lightbox unless you're willing to make one big enough.

Here are some samples I did for a friend.

APOLOGIZE FOR THE SIZE.

Anyways, I recommend some strong lighting. Brightest you can get .. and you can just purchase seamless paper from the art shop.

ciao!

Arevalo, did you use a large lightbox, or the seamless paper method you were speaking about?

Looks good by the way.

tried it out today, turned out surprisingly great. i used one light source because i didnt want a straight white background, i wanted the shadow-y mood-y feel.

edit: damn those tiffs and jedis look really pixelated and off. gotta check the white balance next time.

Which is why I recommend strong lighting.

It looks pixelated because there is not enough light, therefore it shoots at a higher ISO which gives you grain.

L0CHNESS,

for the tees .. just seamless paper.

for smaller things, i use a shooting table.
