I have mainly read positive things. Only thing to be worried about is the AF but I think that problem has been fixed.

Have you also considered a 5D Mark III? I'm assuming you're on Nikon though.

I thought about the canon but it's almost $500-1k more. I have a nikon lense and flash already so i'll stay with nikon. The thing I'm kinda worried or concerned about is the 36 megapixels. So much memory. :/

Thanks for the help smilecool

Second thoughts about this cam bruhs. What makes the mark iii better? . which has a better video modethe mark iii or d800 ?? the d800's video mode isnt 4fps is it? im sure i read that wrong. i think thats continuous shooting.

MKIII Is definitely better in the video aspect. MKIII has better ISO performance, but there's still banding, while Nikon has better DR so you'll retain better detail in the shadows/highlights. Also Magic lantern has a hack which gives you RAW video with the MKIII - meaning what you can do with video files is incredible.

Honestly if you're mainly shooting video just shell out the extra cash and get a 5D3. I'm not saying this either because I'm biased towards canon, but from everything I've read, the MK3 is in fact an all around better camera and although DxO may give the D800 a better sensor score, in the real world tests the MK3 does in fact handle better. the only possible reason I could justify buying a D800 is if I'm shooting mainly in good light, printing billboard size, and shooting landscapes, otherwise for everything else a MK3 would be better.

I have already talked to you, and you seemed set on Nikon, but if you find yourself doing a lot of portrait work Canon imo produces far better tones SOOC. I went to the dark side last year and switched back to Canon within a few months.
