I was actually going to bring that issue up. Most kit lenses (or just other lenses) may not be able to go that wide. I think if you at least make it f/3.5 it would be fair to everyone.

kinda pointless theme... f2.8 on a small sensor (e.g. iphone) is a world of difference compared to another extreme like a 200mm f2.8 on a medium-format camera
