I'm pretty new to this stuff and I've a Sony CyberShot DSC-R1, but what settings would be good for dark lighting shots, my friend wants me to shoot photos at his show?

Use the widest aperture(aperture priority), iso on auto

And check to see if the camera gives you a shutter speed of 1/30 second or faster. If not, use flash

Also if iso is over 400 you might want to use flash

If you're not allowed to use flash (which is most often the case when shooting shows), put it on manual, widest aperture (f/3.5, 1.8 or whatever your lens can do), shutter speed around 1/60 or faster, and ISO around 1600-3200. And shoot RAW! Good luck!

You should probably use auto settings all the time.
