I heard good things about Sigma Fisheye from a couple people. Can't comment on personal experience though.

Tokina 11-16

Opteka 0.20x Fisheye Lens.

They call it a lens but its actually a adapter. Everyone says that fisheye adapters are worse then the actual lens but I have tried both and honestly, they are exactly the same. Except that the adapter is 70% cheaper.

that's the one I have right now and its crazy good quality.

tokina 10-17 is a good choice if your canon isnt a full frame. i enjoy it!

heres some photos from mine on my 60d

you can get them for around $500.

i got mine as a gift, if i were buying it myself i would of probably of gone with a peleng 8mm. the build quality isnt as good as the tokina but it is wider and $200 cheaper.

Peleng 8mm Fisheye

I have got a Canon 60D as well. I am looking for a fisheye with a really fisheyey effect..
I really would get the Canon 8-15mm 4L USM fisheye but its too expensive..

try the adapter man. its only 50$ and it you can make it look really fisheyey but it can also look like a normal fisheye.
and if you don't like it (I don't see why you wouldn't) its only $60 down the drain
Mar 25, 2012 @ 19:20
honestly fuck the adapter man. take that 60 and put it to an actual lens. http://www.amazon.com/Rokinon-FE8M-C-F3-5-Fisheye-Canon/dp/B002LTXQUE/ref=pd_cp_p_0 That's prolly the best one you'll get for the price. you wont get the shitty black around it either bc its an actual lens and not a shitty adapter.

Nice, I was thinking of picking this lens up but I opted to go for a macro lens instead. Now I'll be saving money to get this. haha

It all depends if you want the vintage look with the black ring or not? If you want vintage go for the adapter but keep in mind that you have to zoom in so the ring doesn't look too big and it looses a lot of it's widness, if you want a cleaner hd look get the rokinon. I have both. Honestly the rokinon is better man. So crisp, so clean and 180degrees save the 50$ and invest it in that. The adapter is a waste.

If you are considering the adapter is use it and the end of this video but i filmed in 720p so i have to zoom in to loose some of the black. check at 1:04

I was lucky enough to try it out smokeyface

Zoomed out fully on FF (didn't take the lens hood off).

But otherwise, just go for a Rokinon 8mm fisheye. It's one of the best around optically.

Tokina was too slow for me. Sigma 10m was dope as fuck tho. way better than the tokina, sharper and faster.

Yup, only thing is that if on FF anything <15mm will make it circular. As shown in the post I posted.

Dope smokeyface ANTHONEEE, especially the last photo

I use the Rokinon 8mm like others have mentioned, but I shoot with an a200. If you don't mind using a all manual lens (focusing & aperture) then it is perfect, especially for the price. But if you could afford the 8-15mm then by all means get it lol.

Mar 28, 2012 @ 06:43
Honestly, for the functionality, I don't think fisheyes are really worth the money they go for though.
Mar 29, 2012 @ 13:56
They aren't. Unless the photographer is primarily skate/bmx. Otherwise it's kinda gimmicky, imo.

Two of my friends have the sigma fish. They both film skating and it's pretty wide/good distortion. They have 7Ds

I'd only assume the OP wants fisheye lens for filming skating or whatever. but it fits Canon Vixia's/those camcorders
Apr 17, 2012 @ 19:39
Rokinon makes a great fisheye, especially for the price. Only 'downside' is it's Manual Focus, but it really doesn't matter after you get used to it.

Gonna get it as soon as I have some paper to through around for funzies.
