Thanks man, well, it's got little to do with editing. I actually only edited a little with colors. Basically my lens created the depth of field you're seeing.

you can get a smaller dof by zooming in, moving in closer, or having a wide aperture


It helps if your f/ is 1.2 lol. But yeah, if not you can get great DOF with almost any lens.. The further away you are from your subject, the less DOF unless you have a long telephoto lens. Any zoom lens fully zoomed in at minimum focusing distance will give some great DOF. Take into account though, an ultra wide angle lens wont give as great DOF as a 50mm, 85mm, 200mm, etc.. etc..

Yup! Thanks, I shot that with a Canon T3i and an 85mm lens. I just upgraded to a 5D MK II though. And you should pick up your camera - start shooting and post in here!

Well try and experiment. Take a shot (on a tripod) of one thing @18mm and then take a shot of the same thing without moving the camera @200mm and you'll notice there are differences.
