I say each person should send a finished portfolio to the organizers via email, usershare, megaupload, or whatever you see fit.

No, each person gets 20 pages. One book is 80 pages, and there are 4 people in each group. So there will be a book for each group to make a 4 book volume series. You can do whatever you want within the members of your group (if you want a theme, you guys need to decide on one).

The series will be 4 separate books and each person gets 20 pagese in their groups book. Within those 20 pages, that person can do literally whatever they want aslong as it's dope. I know it seems extremely vague and i'm just repeating myself, but i can't make it any more simple lol. I'm positive everyone has had a time where they saw something and was just like "damn that's dope" or "damn that'll be a sweet picture", we want the book full of those moments. I think it'll be awesome to see the pictures everyone comes up with.

I think the reason everyone is asking if its 4 pictures per person is because they think it's going to be one book with all 20 photographers. I also thought that's how it was originally and when a new volume have to be done we would just rinse and repeat, that way everyone participate in the very first project and future ones and if there's more photographer interested we would just make it bigger with more pages.

Also do you guys think a tumblr blog would work for the pictures?

yeah i agree one book is a lot better, in terms of being able to complete, and being able to sell it.
you guys should decide on the themes or if its goin to be freestyle. Also deadlines.. just to get moving

I think one book would be better just have a cutoff date for people to get in on the project. This way all of the shots will be in one book. just my 2 cents.

i always thought it would be 4 photos by everyone partcipating. and to have somewhat of a structure every group would have themes. that means we would get one book with 80 pages by 5 groups with 16 photos. i definately think one book is the way to go no matter what we do with the themes and stuff ...

Yup. As for the deadline, what do you guys think is an adequate date? February 2nd was the first date to come to mind. We get a solid 3 months to get the shots and the cash.

I like this idea aswell, we all just need to decide on deadlines...What if we determine deadlines by groups??

You need to decide also if you're gonna have it all colour or if b&w photos are allowed also. Same with film and digital because, depending on the themes, it could look as if the photos have just been thrown together with no thought if you have mixtures of all of the things i just mentioned.

I'm not knocking themes, I just don't want EVERYONE to do one theme. It'd be more interesting if each group had their own theme rather than 20 people doing the same thing.
