my fav lens at the moment is the Nikon 50mm 1.8 I just LOVE this lens.... I'm working on getting the 35mm 1.8, and a zoom 2.8. But can't decide on 24-70mm2.8 or something similar.

and I honestly don't see the purpose of owning both a 35mm prime and a 50mm prime. I had a 50mm hated it, love my 35mm. I have an old g-ringless nikon 35mm f2.0

nice hdr shots. personally i hate the hdr technique. it just looks too gimicky to me. but if you know how to pull it off then it looks pretty good. only a few people can do that.

personally, i havent used many lenses in my life but my 17-40 @ f.4L has to be my fav. although i've used some pretty classical primes like carl ziess lenses, and those were actually really fun to shoot with. second to that is probably 50mm @ f1.8. canon lesnse of course.

16-35 is great.
Especially shooting full frame, I wouldn't bother shooting that lens unless I was using a full frame dslr.
The Canon 16-35mm 1:2.8 L lens takes the cake on 16-35's. smile

Canon 85mm 1.8 - though only best used with a larger sensor camera. I have a Canon 5D MKII.

Really? IMO, I think between 35/50/85, the 85 would be the least "attractive" on FF
