Want a zoom lense for my canon 450D ( xsi ), I`m on a budget and this lense aren`t that expensive. Is this a "OK" lense?

it's a decent zoom lens but check for a 18-200mm lens buy sigma or tamron or tokia maybe even a 18-250mm for 100 dollars more and they are good everyday lenses, good zoom, good macro, good wide angle, just a thought

i have a nikon 55-200 and i think its just a waste of money cause i barely use it....unless youre sure youre going to use it, id stick with what u have or a buy a different lens. I think its just because i didnt want to keep changing my kit lens with this one back and forth, so if you can go for the 18-200 lens its way more convenient.

thanks for the inputs, has decided to save up for the Tamron 17-50mm SP AF 17-50 f/2.8 XR Di-II IF as my standard lense. Then buy a tele lense later.
