2 (almost 3) years old.
40,047 clicks.

Shit, Im seriously hoping...no praying, it doesnt die soon.
No $$$$ for upgrade sad

So ya, decided to share a site I found that lets you check how much shots youve taken with your camera so far. Just upload your most recent shot and your set. You just gotta scroll a bit to find the 'Shutter Count' info.

i see no shots taken info?

i have a canon, if that makes a difference?

edit: my file number is 103-2486 and ive never reset it, so i guess that means 32486 shots?

in just over 1 1/2 years.

and to your 32482 shots, thats probably around the same rate im was at.

what camera do you use?? whats your 'avg' shutter rating/shutter life?

from what ive read about my Nikon d40, theres some users who have gotten a lot more clicks than i have and theres some who have had their cameras 'die' before they even reached my #...so im not sure if i should be this worried yet.

ive got a Kiss Digital X which is the rebel XTi i think?

no idea about body life though confused id hope it was nearer the high 10 thousands though?

edit: just read its between 50,000 and 100,000 (quite a gap i know lol) depending on how well u look after it and what u use (burst mode a lot etc)

youre camera's pretty much 'dead' when your shutter dies?? but it really depends if you want to spend a couple bills to fix it up.

Life expectancy for non-pro models: 50K?
Life expectancy for pro models: 100K

It's 50,000 clicks but that doesn't mean the camera is going to die. It's just an estimated lifespan.

i hadnt thought of this in a long time. i better start looking at what my next will be. I havent checked my number yet but i have had it for almost 4 years now if not more. I have take it out and had 1000+ shot in day before.
