How do you guys get your photos so clean. Is it because the lens is dirty? Dirty scanner?

I'm making sure the film is clean before scanning it and it still looks dirty.

@projunt pretty sure its just the quality of the film, not how clean/dirty it is. Also camera quality, porta isn't gonna look the same out of an ae1 vs a t2

Thanks for the comments guys. Yellowstone was amazing, was refreshing to get away from everything and just kick it in the wilderness. Stylus Epic was perfect for this trip.

I was there a few weeks ago, at the start of some west nile reports. There were surprisingly no bugs at all really where we were backpacking though.

Just broke out the AE-1, I've been waiting over a month for a battery to come in the mail and it hasn't come, so I'm just gonna open a PayPal dispute and buy from Amazon like you said. When I look in the viewfinder, I see these little dirt specks and a tiny little hair. Anyone know how to get this out? I bought a battery today at Walgreens (it's a Duracell PX28L). I could've sworn one time I pressed the battery check button and I saw the needle on the light meter flicker, but I could never get it again. Do I have the wrong battery or is my camera fucked up?

Might just sell this thing and continue using my Stylus Epic, it's a hell of a lot easier to use.

I bought the battery an hour ago, it can't be dead. What do you mean "try the shutter"? Idk if I like the SLR shit lol.

like, press the shutter button. if it doesn't work the first time, try pulling the advance lever, and then press the shutter again. if it works you're golden

Okay. If that doesn't work, then this thing is for sale. I don't fuck with SLR's, I'm a P&S guy haha. $45 shipped.

Edit: I don't really know what the expected result is, but I just tried what you said and it didn't make a noise or anything idc I'm done fuck this shit I like my Stylus Epic lmao.

Gotta question film bruhs, I use my dslr for portrait and other rando photography but was thinking about getting a film rig for some nature photography. Anyone got a decent suggestion on something good but also relatively cheap (under $500). Was looking at mamiya 7 because I want 60-80mm goodness but idk. Anyone else do alot of nature shots with film that has input?
