Hey, what's up guys. My grandma just gave me 3 of her old cameras. The ones on the sides (left is Kodak, right is unbranded) look pretty old and I have no idea how to use them. I don't even know if they work. The Minolta (middle) looks like it can be put to good use smokeyface

Would you guys even bother taking the side ones to a camera store to have them looked at, or no?

What's the film you used for that shoot?

August 17, 2012 @ 01:16:08
got some film back from my olympus stylus epic 80 today. first time using this camera. a lot of the shots had this weird bright white vignette barrel glare type thing going on. shot on kodak ultramax 400.

Just got my roll of film back. I'll post my favorite couple pics here, 'cause I don't wanna be obnoxious and clog the thread with too many haha. If you're interested in seeing more, check out I follow back smokeyface.

I have the same camera. Any idea why that glare happens?

Some smokeyface shit people.

^^ no idea. talked to my dude at ritz and he couldnt explain it. does this happen with yours too? today i got a roll back from my canon wp1. first roll ive shot with this one. the view finder is way wider than the actual picture so a lot of the pictures were more tightly cropped than intended. also a few of the pictures had some weird shit going on with them, some black lines and some weird haziness -- might of been some water inside the camera or something. lots of pictures of my girlfriend and the beach, as always..

sorry for the overload!
August 17, 2012 @ 23:10:41
@nicholas yeah it happens with mine too.
August 18, 2012 @ 00:01:07
@nicholas Yo great work smokeyface

how much does it cost to get film developed and scanned at ritz? and how much for prints if you know?

August 18, 2012 @ 02:50:18
@reiyjs so weird. you would think that would be a well known problem with these epic 80s if both of us are having this problem.

@bkbrown thanks homie! i know they are now charging 9.99 to develop and scan. theyre charing me the old price of 7.99 since i go in there so much. i just found out my girls school has negative scanners so my next roll im just gonna get it developed and scan it myself. also; are you getting these light leaks on purpose? whats your method? im feeling them!
August 18, 2012 @ 03:00:33
Is anyone having a creative block, or is it just me?
August 18, 2012 @ 04:21:23
@nicholas Take the battery out of your camera if you have an automatic winder. Open the back about 2-3mm and wait a couple of seconds. I usually do it in the sunlight to get a red leak

A few shots off my secondary camera (Contax G2 and Porta 400) during a photo walk I did with my 5D mkIII

I'm curious to know what type of experience you all have with film photography.
