arista pearl paper. which f stop do you mean? the enlarger was set at f/16. on my camera it was set at f/3.5 i think.

Yeah sorry I was talking about the enlarger lol, I've only used f/8 and f/11, haven't really explored the others yet lol. Thanks for the info!

^ i find iso 400 to be really excessive for most situations with my 35mm and its a bit more grainy i need to pick up some more film fuji superia or something smile

i love 400 iso. the grain quality is perfect for me. i think film and graininess go hand in hand most of the time. the only drawback of 400 iso is that any print bigger than 5x7 usually ends up TOO grainy and blurry.

yeah 400 iso kind of sucks for printing haha. and 100 kind of sucks anywhere besides outdoors in sunlight. :/

i'm not too fond of 100 ISO. it never provides enough contrast. i really can't afford any paper bigger than 5x7 so i'm fine shooting with 400.

^100 iso is ideal for portraits. it makes peoples skin look smoother because the grains are really fine. i usuaulyl use arista film cause it's reaaaaaaaaaally cheap. but if i didn't order in bulk i'd get tri x film.

What do you guys think of 120 HP5+ film? I've shot it with 35mm film but I want to shoot 120 HP5+ film.

ive always heard great things about delta and hp5. i get 120 and 35mm arista 400 for free so i just use those for black and white but for color i like portra vc 160 or 400. and fuji reala because its cheap. im not sure what ektar looks like but i was thinking of buying some in the future.

some little series i did on people in the state of unconsciousness/ sleep. came out a little funny i guess. scanner got all the nasty dust and stuff. ill probably rescan a couple some other time.

me and 2 friends decided to split the cost on 4 different types of paper. anyways, here's what i been playing with lately.

printed on gloss. f/16 2 sec.

printed on satin. f/16 2 sec.

printed on warmtone fiber. shit was a real bitch to use this paper. f/16 4 sec.

printed on pearl. f/16 2 sec.
