A lot of people, including myself, get their film developed at Walgreens so try it there. Only had one issue with them but it was partially my fault.

Also, a Canon AE-1 is pretty good from what's been said here a couple times.

Walgreens usually takes about 4 hours.
I swear by walgreens, but it all depends on location.

whats the price like for walgreens?

i normally take like four rolls into costco at once and ask for it all on one disk, no prints for like 10 bucks

over here 36exp roll dev+cd is about 6.50$ or something after tax.
no prints of course.

developing 120 is the worst.
negs uncut, 12 frames, is like 7$+, hours later spent scanning.

i got 5 rolls of Portra 160NC and 4 rolls of Portra 400NC and an Ektachrome P1600 for free from my teacher but they expired in 2001. Are they still usable?
February 03, 2011 @ 20:58:34
^ Go shoot with them, man!

You never know 'til you try.

might even get some hella indie shots with dat grain, nahmeansss
February 04, 2011 @ 00:23:19
the 160nc will be okay depending on how well it was stored.
if the 400nc was not cold stored or stored properly, consider it useless.

shoot the ektar and cross process it.

Walgreens in NYC says they take only 1 hour to develop a roll. Is this right?

It's $7.99/roll too. Fuck.
February 04, 2011 @ 15:07:21
Lol, I fucked up my first roll.

I didn't know how to rewind. Only 2 showed up on the negatives. lmao

Oh well, learning experience.

Finally ordered a battery adapter for my yashica mg-1. I'll put some pics up when I get it. I hope the mg-1 doesnt have any leaks.
February 06, 2011 @ 22:38:59
Where do you NYC dudes get your film developed?

I got my first roll developed at Walgreens at Astor Place. Shit is like $7.99 + tax for one roll.

damn expensive to develop film in america.
im in china, the local store charges 5rmb for developing a negetive roll. 1usd = 6.5rmb.
20rmb for scanning.
