After browsing this whole thread. I want to buy a 35mm camera.
I'm searching craigslist and I see this..

Pentax ME with SMC 50mm f1.7 + motor drive
vs
Minolta XG1 with 35-70mm

Which would be a good pickup?

though i'd search for something nikon/canon so you have mass availability for different lenses, and you'd be able to resell.

is it really hard to develop your own film


not at all.
it is time consuming, and rather messy.

you just need the right supplies, and need to know what you are doing.

this, above all else. already messed up on two rolls so far. got my third one down but it was my first roll that i never got to develop, and i happened to meter wrong.

though they cannot develop black/white there.

i've been to both walgreens AND cvs, and CVS gave me some of the worst scans i've seen to date, and i'm pretty sure its more expensive.
