superia, which was not my top choice.
came out alright i guess... /

May 11, 2010 @ 18:14:10
a bit green eh? might just be my screen. my prints look pretty magenta too so probably
May 11, 2010 @ 18:30:25
just the first is a bit green.
i don't care enough to drop the tones to be honest ahahah.

i want to shoot some 400nc though. /

May 11, 2010 @ 20:59:37
first ae-1 shots

I swear this dude was taking a picture of me

May 12, 2010 @ 03:39:08

Some shitty scans because snanning on a higher DPI takes so long, all about 2 years old.
May 12, 2010 @ 04:36:54
first ae-1 shots

May 12, 2010 @ 17:56:48
800 iso. i love this shit, definitely copping more rolls this weekend. i didn't fix my prints long enough though, that's why some of them have a brown tint to them.

May 12, 2010 @ 18:08:55
dang clean dem negatives bownah
May 12, 2010 @ 18:46:09
^haha foreal, soooo dirty
May 12, 2010 @ 19:17:03
I've been looking at this thread and the other photography thread for a while now. I decided that I'm going to buy a used film camera off Craigslist. I have decided on two choices. Should I buy a Canon AE1 or some random Minolta?
May 12, 2010 @ 20:45:58
Im gonna say the ae-1
a) cause I have one and love it
b) cause you said "some random minolta"
May 12, 2010 @ 20:57:09
depends what kind of minolta. if it's from the maxxum series, cop that shit. maxxum=built in motor drive+autofocus.
May 12, 2010 @ 21:02:42
It is a "maxxum." What's a built in motor drive?
May 12, 2010 @ 21:15:59
it winds up the film for you. that means you don't have to manually load the film, and rewind it. you just put the film in the little slot and it winds up once you close the back of the camera. you also don't need to keep turning the film lever to expose pictures.
May 13, 2010 @ 11:09:51
Nether of which are bad things though, full manual camera's are often held in higher regard than Auto ones.
May 13, 2010 @ 15:12:51
damn clean those negatives!!!

pushed this shit to 800, super super stoked on it.
hopefully some goodies going this weekend. /

May 14, 2010 @ 20:18:22

Picked this up at the swap meet for 5 bucks.
Worth it?
May 17, 2010 @ 00:42:34
I love this thread sooo much &)

all I do is sip espressos and listen to AZ

May 17, 2010 @ 18:40:03
Picked this up at the swap meet for 5 bucks.
Worth it?

the zooms are not sharp at all.
flip it and find a prime.

on another note... /

May 17, 2010 @ 19:27:14
haha it was only 5 dollars. not really worth flipping. id say just use it if you ever end up needing to take snapshots at a show or something
May 17, 2010 @ 19:36:58
that potential 15$ out of it could yield great amounts of food.
but really though, the zoom quality is sub-par. /

May 18, 2010 @ 09:14:58
what film are you guys using? last couple of rolls of delta3200 i shot had those nasty grid patterns after being developed and scanned, I am not sure if the lab started to screw up my negs or if my shop keeps getting me dodgy films
May 18, 2010 @ 18:14:59
i use arista 400 mainly.
apparently it is rebranded tri-x.

i am starting to push it to 800, getting dope results. /

May 18, 2010 @ 18:38:00
woah forreal? is this confirmed?
May 18, 2010 @ 18:49:57
ionno thats what i have always read throughout google. /

May 18, 2010 @ 19:06:25
hell yeah, artista 400 is the best shit i get. you gotta get the artista in the red box though, the green box 400 fucking sucks. soft ass pictures with shitte grain.
May 19, 2010 @ 22:52:39
we just got some of the red box stuff in at school in 35mm.

i use this shit and it works great. /

May 21, 2010 @ 03:40:32
