that shit is fucking terrible.
kids always ask for it in class, i could never justify using it.

the matte is great, but the pearl, oh man, its fucking amazing!

nah i don't really shoot color. i'm not really into color, and although i would rather pay extra money for shooting film, i juist can't for color. there's so many bleaches, etc, that you need to use, and i'm the one buying chemicals since i use my friends enlarger. oh yeah, and i have no access to a color enlarger either.

ilford glossy is alright if you're on a budget, i used that before i got ilford fiber pearl. honestly, i think that paper is kind of "amateurish". but what i've noticed, if your negatives usually suck; like they're not developed correctly, have no contrast, etc., glossy makes them look a lot better. pearl>>>>>all. other than cool tone matte i haven't gotten as many amazing tones with any type of paper.

First couple rolls from the xa. In love already. Shot some CVS200. More on my flickr.

Some of the shots had some red strip like this going across it. Is this an over exposure? or a developing error?

working on a month long triptych. the theme is "pride". here's two pictures that i printed yesterday. iunno, my goal is to shoot about 5-10 rolls of film, and select the best 3 images, then matte them on a three window matte.

this shit came out dark as fuck, but a simple 2 filter, and a dodge/burn would do the trick.

ah nah. see here's the plan, i'm going to shoot/print for about a month straight. when the month is coming to an end, i'm going to gather my three best prints that represent my theme the most, and then i'm going to matte them on a 3 window matt.

"the five senses" shots. dry mounted with freezer paper on cardstock. i used a fucking regular iron to get the freezer paper to stick to the cardstock, lmao. so ghetto, but so effective.

edit:
triptych work yet again.

i'm kind of getting tired of the whole fat contrast thing, i think it has to due with my over-agitation during developing.
i want some softer stuff, some more moodier settings.

must.
shoot.
like.
this.
