Stared at that last pic for a while until I realized it was a broken mirror (I think?) anyways awesome result. Side note, I recently got a stylus epic for $25 on ebay and I shot a test roll and went to get it developed at a Walgreen next to my house and they tell me they no longer develop film. Really shitty news considering I was going there all last year and the other Walgreens that develops is about a 1o minute drive away.

Its just old and I left it in the car for a whole summer.   I didnt finish the roll till now.   i only got 5 shots that were useable and 4 of them didnt look good red so i converted them to b&w.    its a easy way out by the way.....if your shit is all wonky and not cool cause its old or xpro shitty or whatever, try desaturation and converting it to black and white.

canon ae-1 kodak portra 400 pushed to 1600

do you live in atlanta? if so, who are you getting to push your film?

He means push film as in using 400 speed film on 1600. Normally, you have to tell whomever prior that you pushed/pulled so they can change  dev. times. Im sure Showcase would do it.

Anyway I went visit my old school last week and got drunk and took advantage of the darkroom lol. I love the darkroom feels good man smokeyface. The print has dust and shit but who cares its just for me.

ah okay. i was wondering. usually you don't say "pushed to 1600", instead you would just say i shot 400 at 1600 or something. like you said, pushing/pulling is an actual development technique. and as far as i knew i didn't know anybody in atlanta that did do that for color, hence my interest haha.

^^ i live in jacksonville florida. i was just visiting atlanta. like shanklin said, i shot 400 iso film at 1600 and had my local lab push it to 1600. i also had them scan them at a high resolution as tiff files instead of jpegs. they charged about $30 to develop/push/scan a roll. definitely more than i wanted to pay but its not something that i do often and the pictures were from a vacation so i didnt mind paying for quality developing.

It's been a while since i've posted here. But i'm back, with lots of new work. Any of you guys shoot 4x5? I've started shooting large format and I think it will become my new format of choice. The sharpness and compositional control is amazing.

Mar 21, 2013 @ 15:49
I've always wanted to do LF but don't have the cash for that much camera, hell I'm barely able to do 35mm with the price of developing these days...
